what penis filler do you use for the treatment?

There are two primary groups of dermal fillers: synthetic and biocompatible fillers such as Hyaluronic Gel.

There is a trade-off between synthetic and bio-compatible fillers; bio-compatible fillers will be absorbed by the body eventually, whereas (depending on the type) synthetic fillers are permanent. On the other hand, synthetic fillers can cause an allergic reaction and also if there is movement or lumping, it is difficult to remove them.

For this reason, we only recommend bio-compatible fillers which are not permanent and if the result is not satisfactory, the filler will be absorbed. Secondly, hyaluronic gel (our preferred filler) can be broken down by injecting its antidote. This means that the risks of hyaluronic gel penis fillers are much lower than that of other synthetic fillers although the results are less permanent.

Hyaluronic gel is actually a natural structural component of skin, and, in fact, is present in connective tissue throughout the human body. This also means that the risk of allergic reaction is much lower compared to synthetic fillers.

For this reason, we do not recommend any synthetic fillers for penis enlargement such as Artefill (PPMA), Linen 10 or Radiesse.

Please note that there is a very big range of brands and types of Hyaluronic Gel filler, which will in general have different characteristics (particle size, concentration, manufacturing process) and as a result different properties in terms of duration, viscosity, propensity to migrate and of-course price!

At Cosmetic Andrology we are the only clinic in the UK that uses a premium Hyaluronic Gel Filler developed specifically for penile girth enhancement purposes. Our filler has ideal composition and is long lasting for natural and durable results.

How much filler do i need and what results can i expect?

Most men will need anything between 10ml and 30ml depending on the results they wish to achieve and also their current erect penis size. In general we suggest aiming for a result that will look proportional (to the glans size) and aesthetically pleasing. Most patients expect an increase of 2-3cm (on average 1in) in penile girth, which would usually require 10-20ml.

As a reference you can use the graph below to understand how much filler you might need in order to achieve a desired girth increase. For example if you current erect penis length is 5in then 20ml of filler would correspond to around 2.5cm (around 1in) increase in the circumference of your penis.

how long does the penis filler treatment last for?

This varies from patient to patient (depending on patients metabolism) and the filler used. The results will subside gradually and the process can take anything from 6 months to two years.

Most patients will require a top up every 18 months to retain the same girth. For this reason we offer repeat patients a significant discount.

What is the cost of penis filler treatment?

We have a fixed cost per treatment of £1490 plus the cost of the filler used irrespective of the volume.

During your consultation with the doctor we will give a detailed overview of all the filler brands, types as well as make a volume recommendation. Indicatively filler costs can vary from £50 to £100 per ml depending on the brand.

You can find more information on treatment packages and fees here.

What do I need to do to prepare for the treatment?

There is no need for any preparation. We do suggest that most patients first have a consultation so as to evaluate if they are good candidates for this type of treatment and then if they decide to proceed, they can have the treatment in a follow-up appointment.

The actual filler treatment is very straightforward and performed with local anaesthetic in a medical room. You should plan for around 1 hour for your treatment, after which you can return to your normal activities.

How long after treatment can I resume sexual activity?

Usually sexual activities can be resumed after 1-2 weeks unless your doctor advises otherwise.

How long do I need to take off work for the penis filler treatment?

The great thing about the penis filler treatment is that you do not need to take any time off work. You can return to your daily routine immediately.

will i experience pain after the penis filler?

Some mild pain and discomfort should be expected but this canbe treated with over the counter painkillers.

what are the potential complications of penis fillers?

The most common issues for dermal fillers in general is an initial discomfort or temporary swelling and bruising. Fillers can also result in cysts, bumps, lumps (called nodules), skin irregularities, and/or inflamed tissue that persist, even with semi-permanent fillers. Allergic reactions can take place but are rare, especially with today’s newest fillers. If you are affected by cold sores, dermal fillers can trigger a breakout. Infection is always possible but it’s extremely rare and easily treated.

Not surprisingly, the most typical concerns regarding dermal fillers involve the results of the procedure. Problems such as poor or inaccurate placement, unevenness, and migration can happen.

Experienced doctors can correct these complications and with short term fillers, these complications can usually be reversed or gradually be naturally absorbed.
